A few design mistakes on the origianal home lead to major exterior deterioration.
No roof overhangs were the biggest problem that allowed water to ruin the redwood siding. Here we have added 36" overhangs and then installed new redwood siding. The siding color will even out with time -- looks a little funny when it is new.
Before we started the siding was trashed.
An earlier addition was just an eyesore. We separated it visually with its own metal siding.
Nice lattice around the deck over the garage. Got rid of that quick.
